Ministry of Finance has clarified that the Federal Government immediately transfers the share of all provinces as per the NFC formula, based on revenue collection reported by the FBR.
In a statement on Thursday, the ministry refuted news reports which claim that the Federal Government has made less transfers to Sindh province during the current financial year.
It said federal government transferred an increase of 9.4 percent to Sindh over the corresponding period of last financial year.
The statement said FBR reported collection of taxes as 2011.4 billion rupees, including arrears of previous year, and transfers to Sindh worth 275.2 billion have been made during the same period of current financial year.
It said during the first half of fiscal year 2017-18, FBR reported a collection of 1845.3 billion rupees including arrears of previous year and the share transferred to Sindh was 251.5 billion rupees.
