Desperate to save her marriage, a woman in China hires a professional to go undercover and help break up her husband's affair in an attempt to save her marriage. An intriguing look at a new industry in China featuring a woman known as "Mistress Dispeller" about couples who want to try & stay married. With strikingly intimate access, Mistress Dispeller follows this unfolding family drama from all corners of a love triangle. The production team followed different couples and love triangles for 3 years until they found one that stayed through to the end without withdrawing their consent. It looks much more profound than it sounds, not really criticizing the infidelity as much as exploring why marriages fail & how people can work on fixing their issues, whatever they may be.
