
The petitioner said drugs were being sold in educational institutes despite the court orders against it.
He prayed to the court to issue orders to stop sale of narcotics in schools, colleges and universities.
The Supreme Court (SC) in November last year had directed the centre and provinces to submit monthly progress report against the usage of narcotics in educational institutes.
According to the details, a three-member bench of the SC headed by the then chief justice Saqib Nisar, while hearing a case pertaining to drug peddling in educational institutes, ordered the provinces to submit monthly report on drugs in academies.
DIG operation Lahore had told the apex court that police had launched crackdown against the drug peddlers and apprehended at least 50 suspects.
During the proceeding, Saqib Nisar had asked that who was responsible to curb the drug peddling and maintained that drugs were easily available in the educational institutes.
He had directed the DIG operation Lahore to take action against the black sheep in his department.
