Khursheed Shah Terms Sindh Assembly Speaker’s Arrest ‘Disgraceful Act’

Prominent leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Khursheed Shah
Prominent leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Khursheed Shah has termed the arrest of Sindh Assembly’s speaker Siraj Durrani a shameful and disgraceful action.

Shah, in his address at the national assembly, claimed that Agha Siraj Durrani’s arrest is part of a conspiracy which aims to weaken the Parliament.

While expressing himself, the senior PPP leader announced that Pakistan Peoples Party will stage protests at every street over Durrani’s arrest.

“It may be possible that Agha Siraj Durrani has done something wrong [possibily guilty in graft cases], but what sort of treatment is being carried out with him? Everyone in the house; from Maulvi Tamizuddin Khan to NA Speaker are respectable for us”, stated Shah.

He added that whoever who sits in chair of the speaker of the house deserves the utmost respect.

Lamenting the arrest, Khursheed said that Agha Siraj’s family has a history in Pakistan’s politics and treatment which is being done to him will make people of Sindh question stuff.
