Kulsoom Nawaz's funeral prayers offered at Jati Umra

The funeral prayers of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, wife former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, has been offered at Sharif Medical City, Raiwind near Lahore.

Religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil lead the funeral prayers.

PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar along with a huge number of PML-N leaders and supporters attended the event. Delegations from other political parties including the PPP, the MQM-P and PSP have also attended the funeral.

A large number of people including party workers are visitng the residence of Nawaz to offer their condolences.

Following the former first lady’s funeral prayer, she will be laid to rest beside the grave of her father-in-law Mian Sharif at Jati Umra.
