First Teaser Trailer for 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II' Animated Series

"David's dead. But Night City lives on." Get ready to return to Night City again. Netflix has unveiled a first look teaser trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the next anime series set in the Cyberpunk universe. This is an announcement promo stating that the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners sequel is "now in production." No release date is set - most likely it will debut in early 2026. This anime series is set in the world of (the video game) Cyberpunk 2077 - it's produced by TRIGGER under the supervision of CD Projekt RED. It's also a continuation of the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series which first launched on Netflix in 2022 (watch the trailer). Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will mark the directorial debut of Kai Ikarashi, with Ichigo Kanno as lead character designer. No other details are known yet - but this teaser indicates some Night City characters will be back for more. There's also a romance teased in this footage...
