Letterboxd Will Soon Launch 'Video Store' Online Film Rental Platform

Big news for film geeks! Letterboxd has announced something brand new! The world famous movie diary tracking site has revealed that they will soon be launching a video rental / streaming service called simply the "Letterboxd Video Store". Described as "our own curated rental spot", the Letterboxd Video Store is a curated rental service to watch new films and old films without having to head elsewhere and find them on another platform. They explain: "This isn't a subscription service! No lock-in, no paywall. Just rent the films you want, whenever you want, and join the conversation with our community logging, reviewing and adding them to lists." We've been huge fans of Letterboxd for a decade or more – and even once added their review widget at the bottom of our reviews (alas it doesn't work anymore). I update my account daily with whatever I've seen, writing my thoughts, as well as following lists & other reviews. It's one of the best movie websites out there right now. I'm glad they're shaking things up with something like this – it sounds like a clever way to get people to watch all the films they find and read about on Letterboxd.
